About me

I am a 32 year old girl living around Washington, DC. Knitting and Jewelry making are two of my favorite activities, so I'm excited to share my pieces with a wider audience.

I began my artistic journey with the fiber arts, and have incorporated some of my favorite fiber arts techniques into my jewelry. I knit sterling silver wire by hand to create the focal points for my Catch a Pearl jewelry line. Each piece is an eyecatching and delicate work of art. When I'm not creating things, I'm writing, working at Georgetown university, where I will (eventually!) attend grad school, and living that odd DC life where friends google chat about primary returns and almost every conversation turns political :)

I also volunteer at the smithsonian, and visit the museums (when I'm not volunteering) nearly every weekend. DC is an AMAZING place to live BECAUSE of the museums, and wonderful resources like the library of congress. I hope that some of this beauty and appreciation for history shows in my work.

Returns:

I'm happy to accept returns up to 14 days after purchase for a refund (via paypal) or 30 days after purchase for a Pearl by the Sea Credit. Return shipping will be paid by the customer.

If the piece isn't quite what you were looking for but you would like another piece, I am also happy to exchange for something else in my shop or make a custom replacement for the item to make it just right for you. There may be a slight wait for your custom replacement, but customs are usually processed completely within 7 - 10 days.

If you would like to purchase insurance, please let me know and I will submit an invoice for the insurance charge.

I strongly encourage insurance on expensive purchases.

I'm proud to create beautiful jewelry of very high quality. If a piece of Pearl by the Sea jewelry should break, please email me about a free repair. If (on the odd chance that) a repair is needed during the first 30 days you have owned the piece, I will pay for shipping both ways. After 30 days, I will request that the customer pays to ship it to me, and I will cover the return postage.
