About me
A creative beatnik with a magpies’ eye for the sparkling and the sumptuous, I graduated with a first class honours degree in Textiles and Fashion Design Management from the Scottish College of Textiles, Galashiels.
Intuitive colour palettes and inventive compositions are inspired by nature and combined with exquisite hand beading, stitching and finishing. Unusual textural combinations and embellishment are key, with no two designs ever the same.
Materials vary wildly, but include wire, wool, silk, chiffon, leather, tweed, tartan, wood, feathers and velveteen. I design corsage brooches, fabric necklaces and 'hair candy' such as decorated hairbands, hair clips and full-on fascinators.
